The Secret Eater

Meet my friend the secret eater that helps children with their problems.

Would you like to understand your children a little better? Would you like to learn about their fears and concerns? Let me introduce you the Secret Eater a tiny monster that eats all your worries away.

I have got this idea from one of my friends. She told me that her children have trouble with telling her about their everyday problems and that she wanted to help them to get over their concerns. So we have designed the “Secret Eater”, a tiny monster that eats your fears away. It is very simple to use. Before going to bed you can just ask your children to hide their problems in this little pillow for the Secret Eater to take care of them. After that you can just read this paper so that you can understand your little ones better and you can help them to solve their problems.

It is a working solution and I am very happy that I could help … and her family with getting a little closer to each other.

You can design your own monster

The secret eater is just one variation to solve this problem but the possibilities are endless. If you want to make your own secret eater just read about how I make them below, or send me your own design and I will make it for you.

I usually use three different type of shapes when making a secret eater: cubical, round, or trangulair shape. But you can decide for your self. 🙂

So take a 16 cm zipper than sew the two shapes you chose on the sides. Now the final shape is made. I usually use kontrasting colors so the mouth will stand out. For the back you have to cut the shap two times this will create the body and make it possible to stuff the figure and still use the pocket. Plush is one of the best textiles you can choose for the back it is soo soft you can also use it for sleeping. 😉 Make some small hands and other bodyparts than turn your sheets onto each other, place the hands and legs and start sewing them together. Don’t forget to leave a little hole for the stuffing I did it once and I was not happy afterwards. As you finished sewing just stuff the body and decorate with hair, or other buttons, glitters, or anything that you can think of.

A titokevő szörny aki segít megoldani a gyerekeid problémáit

Szeretnéd, ha a gyerekednek lenne egy pici szörnyikéje, akivel szívesen megosztaná a félelmeit, titkait? Neked csak ki kell venni a szörny szájából a megrajzolt, vagy leírt titkot, elolvasod és már tudsz is segíteni a gyereknek, hogy könnyebb legyen az élete, jobban tudjon megküzdeni a félelmeivel.

Ezzel az ötlettel keresett meg egy barátnőm és azóta már több gyereknek is készítettem ilyen titokevő szörnyet. Az anyukák mind azt mesélték, hogy gyerekük, aki idáig nem mert beszélni a titkairól, most könnyebben osztja meg a papírral ezeket a félelmeket. Nyugodt körülmények között átbeszélik, megpróbálják megoldani, orvosolni ezeket és azóta gyerekeik sokkal nyugodtabbak és nyitottabbak.

Készítsünk együtt titokevő szörnyikét!

Háromféle formát használok az elkészítésnél. Négyszögleteset, kőralakút és háromszöget. A 16 cm-es cippzár két oldalára szabom ki először a formát. Felvarrom őket a cippzár két oldalára, így alakul ki a végleges forma. A hátsó testhez a lapot kétszer szabom ki, egy pamut és egy wellsoft anyagból. A wellsoft kerül hátra, mert ez olyan puha, hogy párnaként feküdni is lehet rajta. Összeforgatom a helyes sorrendben a lapokat és hagyok egy kis lukat a töméshez. Így a két egyformára szabott (pamut és wellsoft) lap közé kerül a tömőanyag, a figura eleje pedig cippzározható kis zsebet rejt, ide lehet majd a levelet, vagy rajzot bedugni. Erőteljes, különböző színeket használok, így jól elkülönül a száj. Arányaiban kisebb kezet és lábat szabok nekik. A haj és az egyéb dekoráció pedig a fantáziádra van bízva.
